What is a Trust Profile?
Each of our member has a Trust Profile. The Trust Profile provides a
single view of a member's trust information to evaluate if this
member is a better trading partner.
How does the Trust
Profile works?
The Trust Profile represents
our approach in establishing a trust system for our members. This trust
system consists of the following components:

Member Authentication
& Verification
Provides independent checks if a member is legally registered in his
country.

Bank Information
A form submitted by the member which is endorsed by his banker
to verify that his company holds a bank account with the bank.

Awards and
Certifications
Shows the awards and certifications received by a member.

Trust Network
Provides a summary of who trusted this member, and who this
member trusts.

Transaction Ratings
Provides a summary of how this member has performed in transactions
with other members.
In addition, we have implemented
Trust Points® to provide a quantitative
measure based on the above trust components.
Why is Trust
Profile useful?
With the information from Trust
Profile, you will be able to get a better assessment of the member you
may want to deal with.
What does Trust
Profile not do?
Although Trust Profile provides
an overview if a member is a better trading partner, it does not
guarantee that the member is reliable and trustworthy. It
takes time and experience for the Trust Profile to show you the true
picture of trust. In addition, trust is a subjective measure which
evolves over time.
How can I improve my
Trust Profile?
To improve your Trust Profile,
you need to work on every element of the Trust Profile:

Member Authentication &
Verification - Be
authenticated
- Bank Information - Submit your bank
information

Awards and
Certifications - Submit any awards and certification your company
received.

Trust Network - Build up your Trust
Network

Transaction Ratings
- Use My Transactions and get good ratings from your trading partners.
Note that for Trade Disputes and
Transaction Ratings, only inputs from
authenticated &
verified members are used.
Your
Trust Points® will increase as your
trust profile improves. This helps to build members' trust on your
company.
